The balloon is inserted under sedation via gastroscopy and filled with saline. Adjustments can be made later via a quick follow-up procedure. Most patients return home the same day and begin seeing results in the following weeks.

Preparation & Aftercare

You’ll follow a liquid and soft diet initially, with medical and dietary support throughout your 12-month program. Adjustments may be made at 3–4 months to optimise comfort or progress.

Risks & Complications

Initial nausea or cramping is common. Serious risks are uncommon but may include balloon migration, deflation, or intolerance. Adjustability helps manage symptoms if they arise.
